16 Best Books for 7th Grade

One of my very FAVORITE parts of teaching middle school reading was always finding books that would get my 7th graders excited about reading. Sometimes it’s a challenge to find books that will keep a 7th grader’s attention, but every time I saw one of my reluctant readers sneaking in a chapter of their book when they “weren’t supposed to” be reading, I had to give myself a little pat on the back. It’s the best feeling ever!

Without further ado, here are the books that captured my 7th grade students’ attention and turned them into actual readers:
